Shelly Camera is a compact Wi-Fi camera that delivers clear 1080p Full HD video and black-and-white night vision, helping you keep an eye on your home, office, pets, or loved ones day and night. It combines reliable local control with cloud-based AI object recognition for smarter, more useful monitoring.

With motion detection, up to 10 customisable motion zones, and instant notifications, Shelly Camera lets you know when movement is detected so you can respond quickly. Privacy blackout zones keep selected areas out of view, while the dedicated Privacy Mode disables video recording, the microphone, and the speaker whenever you want complete privacy.

The built-in microphone and speaker provide convenient two-way audio, allowing you to listen and speak through the camera. Shelly Camera connects through dual-band Wi-Fi and supports Bluetooth for easy setup.

It works with Shelly Cloud, Home Assistant, Frigate NVR, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and other compatible smart-home platforms. Its built-in web interface provides direct local access, while advanced users can create custom integrations and automations using scripting, MQTT, webhooks, and WebSocket.

Controls and Indicators

Side Button

• Single press: Toggles Privacy Mode and switches camera streaming and recording on or off.
• Press and hold for 5 seconds: Enables Wi-Fi Access Point mode. This disconnects the camera from its existing Wi-Fi network.
• Press and hold for 10 seconds: Performs a factory reset. This function becomes available approximately 30 seconds after the camera is powered on.

Rear Power Switch

• On: The camera is powered on and operational.
• Off: The camera is completely powered off, with no streaming, recording, or network activity.

LED Indications

• Constantly on: Camera streaming or recording is active.
• Slow flashing – 1 second on, 3 seconds off: Connecting or reconnecting to Wi-Fi.
• Steady flashing – 1 second on, 1 second off: Wi-Fi Access Point mode is active.
• Rapid flashing – 0.5 seconds on, 0.5 seconds off: Firmware update is in progress.
• Off: Camera is powered off or the LED indication has been disabled.

Audio Indicators

• Rising chime: Camera powered on.
• Rising two-tone sound: Privacy Mode enabled.
• Falling two-tone sound: Privacy Mode disabled.
• Repeated rising ping: Wi-Fi Access Point mode enabled.
• Descending chime: Factory reset completed.
