HomeSYS Z-Wave In-Wall Switch

Add reliable smart on/off control to compatible lighting with the HomeSYS HSYS-Switch-2001 Z-Wave In-Wall Switch. This compact module installs behind a compatible wall switch, allowing the connected load to be operated locally or through a compatible Z-Wave controller and smart home automation system.

Designed for Australian and New Zealand Z-Wave networks, the switch operates on the 921.42 MHz ANZ frequency. As a permanently powered Z-Wave device, it can also route compatible communications to help improve the reliability and coverage of your Z-Wave mesh network.

Key Features

  • Smart on/off control for compatible lighting loads
  • Compatible with 921.42 MHz ANZ Z-Wave networks
  • Supports Z-Wave Plus functionality
  • Supports S2 unauthenticated security
  • OTA support for wireless firmware updates
  • Acts as a powered Z-Wave network repeater
  • Compatible with an external 8-230V push-button switch
  • Configurable behaviour following a power interruption
  • Reports load-status changes to supported Z-Wave controllers
  • Built-in over-temperature protection
  • Compact design for installation behind a compatible wall switch

Smart Lighting Control

The HSYS-Switch-2001 provides straightforward on/off control of a connected lighting load. It can be controlled from a compatible Z-Wave controller or locally using a connected momentary push-button switch.

Its power recovery behaviour can be configured to keep the load switched off, switch it on or restore its previous state following a power interruption.

Z-Wave Network Integration

The switch can be included in a compatible Z-Wave network alongside certified devices from other manufacturers. Inclusion is activated by placing the controller into inclusion mode and pressing the switch's action button three times.

Because the module is permanently powered, it can function as a routing node within the Z-Wave mesh. Association Group 1 Lifeline supports up to five nodes for status, reset and safety notifications.

Compatible Load Types

Load Type Maximum at 220V Maximum at 110V
LED lamps with transformers 200W 100W
LED drivers 200W 100W
Incandescent and high-voltage halogen lighting 400W 200W
Low-voltage halogen lighting with electronic transformers 200W 100W

The maximum number of LED lamps or drivers may vary depending on their design, power factor and individual rated power. Always remain within the specified maximum load.

Built-In Temperature Protection

The switch contains internal temperature monitoring. If an over-temperature condition of approximately 95°C is detected, the device supports an emergency shutoff notification through its Z-Wave Lifeline association group.
