HOW IT WORKS

1. Insert an activated, compatible SIM card into the tracker.
2. Switch on the tracker outdoors or in an open area so it can obtain a GPS position.
3. Log in through the LKGPS2 mobile app or at www.lkgps.net.
4. View its current location, route history and available alerts through the tracking platform.

SIM CARD REQUIREMENTS

We recommend an Amaysim SIM using the Optus network with the $10 Pay As You Go option. Under typical tracker use, this may provide enough data for approximately one year. Actual usage, credit expiry and service conditions depend on the mobile provider and tracker settings.

The SIM must:

• Support mobile data, SMS and standard mobile network services
• Be activated with sufficient credit or an active service
• Use the correct APN for the selected mobile provider

Important: Data-only SIM cards are not compatible.

How does the tracker work?

After purchase, we configure the tracker and create your tracking account. Simple instructions are sent by email. Once a compatible SIM is installed and the tracker has obtained a GPS signal, you can view its location through the LKGPS2 app or web platform.

How long does the rechargeable battery last?

The 20,000mAh model provides approximately 20 days of continuous tracking when reporting every 30 seconds or up to approximately 350 days on standby.

These figures are estimates. Actual battery life depends on the reporting interval, sleep settings, movement, temperature, mobile and GPS signal strength and frequency of use.

How can I extend the battery life?

Use vibration-activated sleep mode so the tracker wakes when movement is detected. You can also increase the location-reporting interval or configure a timed sleep period when tracking is not required.

In standby mode, you can request the tracker’s location using a supported SMS command when needed.

Can it be mounted underneath a vehicle?

The strong built-in magnets allow the tracker to be attached to a suitable metal surface. However, the supplied manual instructs users to keep the device dry because rain and moisture may damage its internal circuitry.

Install the tracker in a dry, protected and secure location. Do not rely on it as a waterproof device.

• Mobile coverage is required for the tracker to send location information to the app or web platform.
• GPS performance is best outdoors or in an open area.
• Buildings, metal enclosures, underground parking and other obstructions may reduce accuracy or delay updates.
• Keep the tracker dry and protect it from rain, moisture, dust, chemicals and extreme temperatures.
• Do not mount the tracker near vehicle controls, moving parts, heat sources or safety systems.
• Confirm that the magnetic mounting surface is clean, suitable and secure before travel.
