- Door/window open and close detection
- Inclination angle measurement
- Illumination measurement
- Beacon mode
- Encrypted mode

Modes of Operation
Regular Mode
In Regular mode, the device broadcasts the current open/closed state, illuminance, and battery status whenever the open/closed state changes. If a tilt-and-turn window or door is opened, it immediately broadcasts event information, illumination, and battery status. Two seconds later, it reports inclination angle and illumination data, followed by angle checks every 8 seconds, broadcasting updates if any change is detected.
Beacon Mode
In Beacon mode, the device broadcasts the open/closed state, illumination, and battery status every 30 seconds. This mode can be enabled via the Shelly Smart Control app. Note that battery life may be significantly reduced while in Beacon mode.
User Interface
- One push button: Press and hold for 10 seconds to pair with another Bluetooth device.
- Factory reset: Press and hold for 30 seconds (only possible shortly after inserting the battery).

I am disappointed with this product.
When it arrived, the battery was completely flat, so I had to purchase and install a new battery myself before I could even test it. The sensor casing also had visible scratches, which made it appear as though the device had been previously used or handled.
After replacing the battery, I completed the setup successfully and initially the sensor appeared to be working correctly. It reported both open and closed states during the first tests. However, after a short period of time, it became stuck in the closed state and stopped detecting when the door was opened. I repeated the setup process, tested different magnet positions and gaps, and even tried it on a standard hinged door instead of my sliding door, but the problem remained.
I contacted Oz Smart Things for support and provided details of the issue, but it has now been over a week, and I have not received a response.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product.
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
This is not the experience we want our customers to have. Our support team will contact you via email to assist you further and provide the next steps on how to proceed with the return process.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, we apologize for the delay in response.
I expect that if I can get the device to download to the app and create a scene my major concern would be past however after successfully operating with pm1 mini I powered my test down and went back to it the next day. On power up the scene failed to connect to the door windows sensor after many attemps. its disappointing that even a hard factory reset and a new battery the device never appeared on the device list.
At present I'm not happy to find that the device is listed on a debug app.
Does this mean that this device has to be debugged consistently. Next step is to return the unit for replacement which I hope performs perfectly. Not happy as I have spent more time on this problem than the rest of my control project.
We’re sorry to hear about the time spent troubleshooting this. The ShellyBLU Door/Window is a Bluetooth sensor, and base on Shelly’s guide, it broadcasts status changes by Bluetooth and has a limited Bluetooth range depending on local conditions. It may also require pairing mode or factory reset shortly after battery insertion if it is not appearing correctly.
The device should not need to be debugged constantly for normal use. Please email us at help@ozsmartthings.com.au with your order number, setup details, and what app/gateway you are using so our support team can assist further or advise on the next step.
