I purchased the the dongle to go with the "Makegood-US GPOs" and use with "Home Assistant". The Sonoff dongle was easy to update the firmware via a windows 10 platform and the Sonoff Website.
The "Makegood-US GPO" was the problem. it was identified and now is connected, I had the GPO drop offline from "home Assistant" but retained the values, luckily I was checking the system and picked it up and added the device back but home assistant lost the data for that period.
The problem is that the current in "Home Assistant" is displaying "196A" instead of "196mA" questioning that if the GPO is truely Zigbee compliant and only "Tuya" compliant.
Currently in discussions with "OZsmart" over the issue and the feedback so far is the "Zigbee GPO" is not compliant with the "Sonoff ZBDongle-E" and home assistant" running on the "Raspberry Pi 4".
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your experience with the Makegood-US GPO and Sonoff ZBDongle-E in Home Assistant. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention.
We understand your frustration with the GPO dropping offline and the inaccurate current readings in Home Assistant. We want to clarify that our Zigbee light switches, GPOs, and dimmers are designed to work optimally with the specific Zigbee gateways listed on the respective product pages (below the product description). These lists indicate the hubs and platforms with which we have confirmed full compatibility and accurate performance.
Unfortunately, the Sonoff ZBDongle-E and Home Assistant running on a Raspberry Pi 4 are not included in the officially supported compatible devices for our Makegood-US GPOs, light switches, and Zigbee dimmers. While many Zigbee devices adhere to a common standard, variations in implementation, especially with Tuya-based devices, can lead to unexpected behavior or inaccurate readings when used with unsupported gateways or third-party applications.
Our Zigbee GPOs and light switches are primarily designed and tested for use with the Tuya app and Tuya-compatible gateways. When used outside of this intended ecosystem, there is a higher likelihood of experiencing connectivity issues, data discrepancies (like the current unit display you observed), or other performance inconsistencies.
The dongle is easy to set up in Home Assistant and quickly detected my Zigbee devices and added them.
The range is very good, I had it in a cupboard which is covered in mirrors and it is still able to control my devices on the floor upstairs.

I plugged this dongle into the R Pi 5 running HA in our RV and it was discovered quickly with no effort on my part. So far I have added some no-name moisture sensors to its zigbee network and it has discovered them without any fuss.
