How to Fix Missing Shared Devices in the Shelly App

If you’ve shared your Shelly devices with family members and they suddenly disappear from their app dashboards, don’t worry — it’s usually not a hardware issue. This problem is often linked to the device sharing setup or cloud connection within the Shelly Smart Control app.

Here’s how to get everyone reconnected in just a few steps 👇

🔍 1. Check Your Main Account

Start by logging into your Shelly app (the main account that first added the devices).
Go to My Home → All Devices and confirm that all your Shelly devices are still visible. If they are, that’s good news — the devices themselves are working fine.

🔁 2. Re-Share the Devices

Open the settings for each Shelly devices, go to Share, and remove your family members’ accounts (including your wife’s and kids’).
Then, re-add them again using the exact email address tied to their Shelly Smart Control accounts. This ensures the app knows who should have access.

👥 3. Make Sure Each Account Is Correct

Each family member needs their own Shelly Smart Control account, and they must log in with the same email address you used when sharing the devices. If they use a different email or sign in with a third-party login (like Google), the shared devices won’t show up.

🔄 4. Log Out and Back In

After re-sharing, have everyone log out of the Shelly app, then log back in.
They can check for the devices under My Home → Shared with me. This often refreshes the account and restores the missing devices.

☁️ 5. Verify Cloud Connection

Lastly, open each Shelly device’s Web Interface → WiFi → Cloud section.
Make sure the cloud is enabled and showing a blue icon, which means it’s connected. If it’s grey, toggle it off and on to reconnect.

If your family still can’t see the devices after following these steps, it might be a deeper sync issue. In that case, contact Shelly support or your product provider with your device IDs and cloud connection status, and they’ll help investigate further.

By ensuring everyone’s accounts and cloud settings are correctly aligned, you can quickly restore shared access — keeping your smart home running smoothly for the whole family.
